Carlo Cao is a Swiss-Italian vegan food blogger best known for his Instagram account, Vegaliciously, which currently has an amazing 204,000 followers. He also has a popular website that has more than 10,000 subscribers. Despite his nationality, he posts content in both English and German, including many delicious recipes. His first cookbook, Party Food Vegan: Over 70 Sensational Recipes for an Unforgettable Party was published in German in 2021.
Cao grew up in a village just on the Swiss side of the Swiss-Italian border and has been cooking since he was just 12 years old, but he went vegan in 2017 after his love of animals and the planet finally trumped his desire for meat and dairy. As a result, he began experimenting with new foods, and this led to him starting what has become a very successful blog. His childhood proximity to Italy means that many of his dishes have a distinctly Italian flavour to them.
