Reality TV personality and star of Dance Moms, Cathy Nesbitt-Stein is the owner of her own dance school, Candy Apple’s Dance Center.
Nesbitt-Stein had her own career as a successful dancer, before turning to the world of choreography and teaching. She first came into the public eye as the mum of one of the dancers in popular reality TV show Dance Moms, when she signed her daughter Vivi-Anne up to the Abby Lee Dance Company. The show is known for its dramatic feuds between both the mums and Abby Lee herself, and during the first season of the show Nesbitt-Stein quit after disagreements with the formidable dance teacher. She then went on to found her own dance school, Candy Apple’s Dance Center, and now enters competitions and teaches dancers of all ages. She continues to appear in Dance Moms at competitions, often fighting with other mums and with Abby Lee as she presents her team for prizes. Candy Apple’s is now hugely popular and successful in Nesbitt-Stein’s hometown of Canton, Ohio, with tourists often coming to visit and a new line of merch available to buy online. Her daughter has also continued to dance, and is part of the Cleveland Tap Repertory.
This reality TV star and businesswoman is well known for her fiery personality and always putting her daughter first. Nesbitt-Stein became one of the best known characters from the show, and continues to shape the dancers of tomorrow at her studio.
