Connor “CDawgVA” Colquhoun has come a long way in the last decade. In 2014, he started a YouTube channel in Denbigh, the Welsh market town he grew up in. Today, he is one of the world’s favourite anime influencers, YouTubers, and podcasters with a social media audience of millions. He lives in Japan and also works as a professional anime voice actor, with television, film, and video game credits to his name. In 2022, along with fellow British YouTuber Chris “Abroad in Japan” Broad, he completed a 500-mile cyclethon across Japan, raising $310,000 for the Immune Deficiency Foundation. He was rewarded at the 2023 Streamys with the award for Best Philanthropic Streaming Event.

Colquhuon started his YouTube channel, CDawgVA, when he was 18 years old. His channel became increasingly popular thanks to his anime cosplay and role-play content, particularly about his beloved JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. He left Wales for London, picking up work as a voice actor, before relocating to Tokyo in 2019 to become a professional influencer for the GeeXPlus agency. Once there, he began co-hosting the popular Trash Taste podcast alongside fellow expat YouTubers Gigguk and Joey “The Anime Man” Bizinger. The series is still running today and is as popular as ever.

In March 2023, Colquhuon announced a partnership with Twitch that will see him streaming exclusively to his million-strong following on the platform. However, he is still producing top-drawer anime content for his 2.9 million YouTube fans and is also active across Instagram and Twitter. His most recent anime voice roles include the film Tribe Nine and the series Gunvolt Chronicles.
