Best known as the voice of Roger Rabbit, Charles Fleischer is an American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and musician. He has appeared in several films including A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Polar Express, and Rango.
Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Charles Fleischer’s first professional acting role came as a guest performer on Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In in 1973. He then appeared in a variety of television series throughout the years including The Richard Pryor Show, Laverne & Shirley, Knight Rider, The Weird Al Show, and The Drew Carey Show. His most iconic project came in 1988 when he voiced Roger Rabbit and several other characters in the hit film Who Framed Roger Rabbit, also appearing in its sequels. This led to a longstanding relationship with Disney, providing voice work for numerous park attractions and television shows. Other voice credits include Cousin Skeeter, Men in Black: The Series, House of Mouse, and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command.
On the big screen, Fleischer made appearances in A Nightmare on Elm Street and Back to The Future Part 2 and recently voiced characters in The Polar Express and Rango. He is now part-owner of a successful multi-media company in Southern California and occasionally performs stand-up gigs. Recently turning 70 years old, Charles Fleischer has enjoyed an incredible career that shows no signs of stopping.
