Born in Tampa Bay, Florida, to, quote, “A Jesus freak and a Green Beret”, American stand-up comedian Danny Bevins has been plying his trade for over 20 years. He got his first major breakthrough after winning the San Francisco Comedy Competition back in 2000. He’s still regularly playing live today and is also active on social media, although at the time of writing, his Twitter account has been suspended—proof that his comedy can sometimes prove controversial.
Bevins’ work has been featured on TV shows such as The World Stands Up, Red Light Comedy: Live from Amsterdam, Billy Gardell Presents Road Dogs, Gotham Comedy Live, and more. He has also taken on a couple of minor acting roles in films and television series. He also has two live albums, A Different Kind of Bad and Inappropriate, both of which can be heard on Apple Music.
Bevins’ brand of comedy is assuredly American—both of his album covers feature the stars-and-stripes—and covers subjects such as Veteran’s Day, the presidency, and much more.
