Mastiff commenced his professional wrestling career in 2002, initially under the ring names Moralez and Dave Moralez. His early career involved engagements with various independent promotions, including One Pro Wrestling, Frontier Wrestling Alliance, and Westside Xtreme Wrestling. Over the years, Mastiff established himself as a prominent figure in the British wrestling scene, known for his powerhouse wrestling style and nicknames such as “The Bomber” and “Human Hate Machine.”
Throughout his independent career, Mastiff achieved notable title successes. He secured the PWE Heavyweight Championship in 2013 and subsequently held the PCW Heavyweight Championship for 210 days, defending it against wrestlers such as Adam Cole, Nick Aldis, Samoa Joe, Bobby Lashley, and Roderick Strong. His career also included a period with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) in 2014, participating in the second season of TNA British Boot Camp, where he progressed to the final six. In 2016, Mastiff briefly held the inaugural WOS Championship in World of Sport Wrestling.
In 2018, Mastiff joined WWE, performing under the NXT UK brand. He made his WWE debut in the United Kingdom Championship Tournament, advancing to the quarter-finals. His NXT UK tenure saw him in significant feuds, including an undefeated streak culminating in a No Disqualification match victory against Eddie Dennis at NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool in 2019. He later participated in a Fatal Four-Way match for the #1 contender spot for the WWE United Kingdom Championship and a Last Man Standing match against Joe Coffey at NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff. Mastiff remained with NXT UK until his release in August 2022. He was ranked No. 307 in the PWI 500 in 2019.
