Harley Street medical and cosmetic consultant dermatologist Dr Anjali Mahto is one of the most respected experts in her field. The best-selling author of The Skincare Bible, she consults patients with a wide range of cosmetic and medical conditions at her London Clinic, including acne and acne scarring, aesthetic concerns, and rosacea, providing a tailored approach and an unrivalled standard of patient care. Her approachable, honest tone and useful, informative content has helped her connect with patients online as well as in her clinic, and her impressive social media following (including over 104k followers on Instagram) soon garnered the attention of renowned publishing house Penguin, who approached her to commission The Skincare Bible.
Mahto grew up the daughter of two doctors, and began to follow in their footsteps by studying a medical degree at Cardiff. Her decision to become a dermatologist came halfway through her studies, and having suffered with acne herself since childhood she began to relate to patients with skin concerns. After qualifying as a junior doctor she gained a BSc in pharmacology and began a specialist programme that led to her qualification as a consultant dermatologist.
After years of advanced training she realised the huge difference a dermatologist can make to the wellbeing of their patients, and knew the kind of dermatologist she wanted to become. Mahto is now a spokesperson for the British Skin Foundation and campaigns for skin positivity, and has also worked as Vichy UK’s in-house skin advisor. She has featured extensively in popular media, including Sky News, Refinery 29, Good Housekeeping and The Guardian.
