Dr. Everett Piper is a bestselling author, columnist and former university president, and an authority on religious liberty and academic freedom. He served as President of Oklahoma Wesleyan University for 17 years, and is today known for his popular columns in The Washington Times. He is a recipient of the Jeane Kirkpatrick Award for Academic Freedom from the Conservative Political Action Conference.
For three and a half decades, Piper enjoyed a celebrated career in university management. He began his career as Director of Development at Bowling Green State University, before becoming Vice President for Advancement at Grace College. He was then appointed Dean of Students at Greenville College, and later became Vice President for Student Development at Spring Arbor University. In 2002, he was appointed the President of Oklahoma Wesleyan University, a Bartlesville-based private Christian college.
Today, Piper is a respected conservative commentator and writer.
