Heather Woolery-Lloyd, MD is a world-renowned dermatologist who practices dermatology in both an academic setting and a private practice. The board certified dermatologist has taken part extensively in clinical research, and has been a driving force on increasing the inclusion of skin of color patients in dozens of ground breaking FDA clinical trials. Her expertise is in demand across the media, and she has featured in numerous top publications including The New York Times, Forbes and The Wall Street Journal. As well as being board certified as a dermatologist, she is board certified in Lifestyle Medicine and is internationally recognized as a leading wellness expert. She has lectured around the globe at industry conferences on anti-aging strategies in wellness and skincare and is the founder of DermFriends, a pioneering platform providing expert recommendations for common hair, skin, and nail concerns and a reliable source of skincare and dermatology education.
Woolery-Lloyd studied at Georgetown University before attending the University of Miami School of Medicine where she earned her medical degree. She completed her dermatology training at the University of Miami and later served as chief resident.
An active member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine HEAL Group as well as the Skin of Color Society, she currently works for the University of Miami’s Department of Dermatology as Director of the Skin of the Color Division.
