Ebenezer Samuel began his impactful career in journalism, serving as the High School Sports Assistant Editor at NY Daily News from April 2005 to April 2011. During his six-year tenure, he developed a robust understanding of sports reporting and content creation. He subsequently transitioned to the pivotal role of Giants beat writer for the same publication from April 2011 to November 2022. In this capacity, Samuel provided comprehensive coverage of the NFL, including in-depth analysis of the NFL draft, breaking news stories, and regular features, establishing himself as a respected voice in sports media for over a decade.
Leveraging his extensive journalistic background and passion for fitness, Samuel made a significant career shift in March 2017, joining Men’s Health Magazine as its Fitness Director, a position he continues to hold. In this role, he oversees all fitness-related content across the brands diverse digital, print, and video platforms. Samuel is instrumental in setting yearly content strategies, editing and writing numerous print and web stories, including multiple acclaimed cover stories. He also serves as a prominent on-screen talent for Men’s Health video content, directing various video projects, scouting trainer talent, and developing innovative workout programs for a global audience.
In January 2022, Samuel was appointed Executive Director, Fitness Brand Development at Hearst, a testament to his leadership and strategic vision. In this expanded capacity, he is responsible for creating synergies across various departments and brands within the Hearst corporation, driving collaborative initiatives and fostering growth. He also actively engages with external brands to forge broad content partnerships, solidifying Hearsts position in the fitness and wellness landscape. Samuel continues to serve in both his Executive Director and Fitness Director roles, shaping the future of fitness content and brand strategy.
