With over 10 years of training experience, journalist Ebenezer Samuel is the fitness director for premier health and lifestyle magazine Men’s Health. His training experience includes working with NFL athletes and leading track athletes, and he has devised an acclaimed training regimen that includes yoga, weight training and HIIT conditioning. Before joining Men’s Health, Samuel worked as a technology columnist and sports columnist for the New York Daily News for 15 years.
Samuel has a huge online following as a trainer and fitness expert, with over 339,000 followers on Instagram where he regularly uploads fitness videos for his subscribers. He has also contributed to Esquire magazine and provides fitness advice through various websites including podcasts on weightlifting and training website BarBend.
Samuel studied journalism at Syracuse University, New York before landing his first job as High school sports assistant editor at the New York Daily News in 2005. In 2011 he was promoted to Giants beat writer, covering the Giants, the NFL draft and the biggest breaking news stories in the NFL.
In 2017 he joined Men’s Health as trainer and fitness director, where he began to deliver ideas that helped readers explore their own strength and fitness. He has also found time to expand his social media platform where he continues to educate and energise people from all walks of life and ages about fitness.
