Esteban Gutiérrez is a Mexican racing driver known for his versatility and skill across various motorsport disciplines. As of 2023, he has competed in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Glickenhaus Racing and the IMSA SportsCar Championship for CrowdStrike Racing by APR. In addition to his racing commitments, Gutiérrez serves as a development driver for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team and is the CEO-Founder of EDASI Drive, the official F1 merchandising distributor for Latin America.
Gutiérrez’s racing career began to flourish in 2008 when he won the Formula BMW Europe championship title, making history as the youngest Mexican driver to clinch an international championship at just 17 years old. His talent continued to shine as he secured the inaugural GP3 season title in 2010. In 2012, racing for Lotus GP, he became the first GP3 graduate to finish in the top three of the GP2 series, showcasing his upward trajectory in motorsport.
From 2013 to 2014, Gutiérrez drove for the Sauber Formula One team, gaining valuable experience in the pinnacle of motorsport. After a year as Ferrari’s test and reserve driver in 2015, he joined the Haas F1 Team for the 2016 season, further solidifying his reputation as a capable driver in Formula One.
Beyond his achievements on the track, Gutiérrez has also ventured into Formula E and the IndyCar Series. With a passion for motorsport that runs in the family, his younger brother José Gutiérrez is also carving out his own path as a racing driver.
