Fabio Basile is an Italian judoka, an Olympic champion who has competed in the -66kg and -73kg weight classes. After earning a bronze medal at the World Juniors Championships in Agadir in the 55 kg category in 2010, Fabio Basile went on to secure a silver medal at the European Cadet Championships in Teplice later that same year. His early career progression continued with a bronze at the European U23 Judo Championships in Prague in 2012, competing in the 60 kg division. Basile further demonstrated his talent in the 60 kg category by achieving another bronze medal at the European Junior Championships in Bucharest in 2014, establishing a strong foundation for his future senior competitions.
Demonstrating continued excellence, Basile added another bronze medal to his record at the IJF Grand Prix Linz in 2023, also referred to as the Grand Prix Upper Austria. Beyond competitive performance, Basile actively contributes to the judo community, notably through his engagement with educational initiatives such as the Fabio Basile Technical and Training Camp, where he shares his expertise and inspires the next generation of athletes.
