Feng Ludong is part of the formidable Chinese team of weightlifters, competing on the international stage. He was born in 1991 and weighs 147 lb. In 2015, Ludong’s talent was displayed in the Chinese Men’s weightlifting Nationals when he did a 162 kg snatch in the 69 kg category. This was the highest weight any 69 kg lifter had snatched. Ludong is widely acknowledged for his many outstanding achievements as a weightlifter.
Ludong competed in the 69 kg division until 2018 when the groups were re-organised by the IWF. He then competed in the 73 kg division initially before losing weight to compete in the 67 kg group. In the 2018 World Weightlifting Championships in Ashgabat in the 73 kg group, he won a bronze medal in the snatch. At the 2019 Asian Weightlifting Championships he got a silver medal in the 67 kg category.
A record 606 athletes from 100 countries took part in the 2009 IWF World Weightlifting Championships in Pattaya Thailand. Ludong’s achievement was significant, winning a silver medal with a gold in the snatch and a Total of 333 kg. This was a qualifying event for the Olympics in Tokyo and Ludong looks ahead to showing his ability alongside the Chinese team.
