United States Dr. Francesca Fusco is a leading dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon, recognized for her expertise in cosmetic procedures, hair, and scalp care.
Dove launched Dermacare Scalp for Dandruff, with a digital marketing campaign to accompany its new line of dandruff shampoos, Dove Dermacare. Dr. Fusco was involved in this initiative.
Dr. Fusco worked with Unilever brand, Sunsilk, as a product co-creator for their hair fall solutions. She teamed up with Sunsilk to co-create their Lively Clean & Fresh Shampoo.
Francesca J. Fusco was born on August 17, 1958. She earned her medical degree from New York Medical College in 1985. Following this, she completed an internship in pediatrics at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Fusco then pursued a three-year residency in dermatology at Westchester Medical Center and Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. She has been a practicing dermatologist in New York since 1989. She also holds the position of Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
Dr. Fusco has established herself as a recognized expert in dermatology and dermatologic surgery, with a focus on cosmetic surgical procedures and hair and scalp care. She is a published author, contributing a chapter on “Nonoperative Techniques for Facial Rejuvenation” to Clinics in Plastic Surgery and co-authoring several medical publications. Her insights are frequently sought by media outlets; she is an editorial board contributor for Women’s Health and has been featured in publications such as Allure, Essence, In Style, Huffington Post, Refinery29, and Glamour. Her media appearances extend to television, including CNN, Eyewitness News, CBS News, Fox News 5, and The Today Show.
Her professional affiliations include associate membership in the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. She is also a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Fusco has collaborated with global brands on product development, demonstrating her applied expertise in the personal care industry, and she continues to treat patients at Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai Queens.
