Gerardo Celasco

Gerardo Celasco launched his acting career in 2005, securing a lead role on NBC’s daytime series ‘Passions’ where he portrayed Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald for two years until 2007. His transition to feature films was marked by his casting as Carlos Peña in the critically acclaimed 2011 baseball drama ‘Moneyball,’ which garnered multiple Academy Award nominations. The following year, Celasco appeared as Ensign Chavez in the major motion picture ‘Battleship’ (2012), further establishing his presence in diverse cinematic productions. Celasco continued to build a robust television presence, landing a memorable recurring arc as Xavier Castillo in ABC’s hit legal drama ‘How to Get Away with Murder’ from 2019 to 2020, captivating audiences over multiple seasons.

He also appeared as Officer Sánchez in Netflix’s ‘Pulse’ and was featured as Andres in the 2023 HBO series ‘The Idol.’ Celasco currently portrays DEA Agent Marcus Sánchez in the highly anticipated Netflix production ‘The Waterfront,’ scheduled for release in 2025. His upcoming projects also include a lead role in the television series ‘M.I.A.’ (2025) and a significant character arc as Cam Fuentes in the 2025 iteration of ‘Pulse.’ Fluent in both Spanish and English, Celasco consistently demonstrates his versatility, enabling him to undertake a broad spectrum of roles across international and domestic productions.
