Hunter Pence is a former professional baseball right fielder and designated hitter, broadcaster, gamer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, renowned for his two World Series championships and four All-Star selections. After earning the 2004 Southland Conference Player of the Year award, leading the league with a .395 batting average, Hunter Pence was drafted by the Houston Astros in the second round of the 2004 MLB Draft. He began his professional career with the Tri-City ValleyCats in 2004, contributing to a 50-win season in the New York-Penn League. In 2006, playing for the Corpus Christi Hooks, he hit .283 with 28 home runs and 95 RBIs, earning a spot on the Baseball America Minor League All-Star Team.
He also earned an NL Player of the Week award from August 30 September 5, 2010. In July 2011, Pence was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies, where he concluded the season batting .314 with 97 RBIs and made his first career playoff appearance. The following year, in July 2012, he was traded to the San Francisco Giants, playing a crucial role in their journey to winning the World Series that year.
