Isabella Blake-Thomas is a British actress and singer-songwriter, best known for her roles in Once Upon a Time, DreamWorks’ Rise of the Guardians and her upcoming role as January in Disney’s Secret Society of Second-Born Royals.
London-born Blake-Thomas got an early start in performance, landing her first role at the tender age of five presenting Green Balloon Club on CBeebies. Acting credits soon followed, with the budding actress, landing roles in the biographical film, Enid and the television adaptation of book series Just William, where she played Violet-Elizabeth Bott.
Blake-Thomas was made for success, appearing in major film productions including Johnny English Reborn, playing Izzie alongside Rowan Atkinson, Julie in Little Glory, Emily in Let me Survive and Tiffany in Trust, Prey, Hope. Her TV credits include Doctors, Midsomer Murders, Jelly Jamm, Dancing on the Edge, Doctor Who, The White Queen, What’s the Big Idea?, Da Vinci’s Demons and Shameless. In recent years, Blake-Thomas’ star has only been growing brighter. In 2016, she was cast as the titular character Jean Sporkin in Jean, which was followed by roles in Pretty Outrageous and The League of Legend Keepers: Shadows.
A born creative, Blake-Thomas has also written, directed and starred in several productions released by the production company she co-founded with her mother Elizabeth Blake-Thomas, where she is Co-Creative Director. Her films are Sounds of Silence, Running on Empty and Maybe I’m Fine, the latter of which won Blake-Thomas Best Family Feature at the Golden State Film Festival Awards in 2019.
When Blake-Thomas isn’t acting on the silver screen, she performs self-penned songs, releasing two EPs and a remix in 2019, entitled Stronger and Painless. A talented, multi-disciplined performer and visionary, Blake-Thomas is one to watch and has several movies currently in the works.
