Moroccan model Jaad Belgaid is making waves in the United States. His career began with the Givenchy brand’s show, following a successful audition on Champs-Elysées. This led to him making runway appearances for well-known labels like Philipp Plein and Dolce & Gabbana, which was closely followed by his participation in the Fashion Weeks of several cities, including Milan.
The first job offer that Belgaid ever had came from an agent who had seen his Facebook images and, struck by how good he looked, had gotten in touch with him to ask him to work for an agency. He has since established himself as arguably the most well-known Arab model in the United States, by securing deals with numerous agencies and participating in a slew of shows.
In addition to modelling, Belgaid is also a champion in judo. He intends to represent Morocco in the sport. He has said that he used to love football, but would get rowdy and agitated, so he stopped playing football and began practising judo at his father’s urging. Belgaid developed self-care skills, a balanced diet, and self-control. The regulations that a ‘judoka’ is required to follow greatly improved his behaviour, making him honest and rigorous. He keeps up with his fans on Instagram @jaadbelgaid, where he boasts more than 140,000 followers, and makes personalized videos for his fans on Cameo.
