Jackson Rathbone is a multitalented singer, musician and actor best known for his character Jasper Hale in the hugely popular Twilight Saga film series. The series ignited the teenage generation and instantly sprang numerous parodies, tributes and references in pop culture, most notable of which being the 50 shades of grey franchise.
Originally intending to return to his family’s British roots and study theatre in the UK, Rathbone instead went to Los Angeles and was instantly hired as an interviewer for Disney 411, chatting to new stars like sister duo Aly and AJ, or Hilary Duff. What followed was a whole range of different roles in an array of TV shows, such as The OC, and Close To Home, before Rathbone landed his first lead role in ABC’s popular original series Beautiful People, a part he described as being his most challenging role to play.
Aside from his acting career, Rathbone is also a passionate and accomplished musician, and can play a multitude of different instruments, but primarily the guitar bass or drums, and he also sings lead vocals for his funk band, 100 monkeys. After a nationwide tour beginning in 2009, the band headed for their first international dates in 2011. As he feels such affinity for music, and in an effort to inspire others, Rathbone is an honorary board member for the charity Little Kids Rock, an organization that works to improve music education in disadvantaged public schools.
