A superb multi-talented young talent, American actress Jasmin Savoy Brown caught many eyes in her recurring role as Evangeline “Evie” Murphy in the second and third seasons of HBO’s critically acclaimed series The Leftovers. In this supernatural mystery drama based on the 2011 novel of the same name, Brown rubbed shoulders with such accomplished actors as Justin Theroux, Amy Brenneman and Christopher Eccleston. She recently starred as a lead in Shonda Rhimes’ legal drama For The People which aired for two seasons on ABC. Further television credits include ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, FOX’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine and NBC’s Grimm. She also was picked for a guest starring role in Judd Apatow’s Netflix series Love in 2018.
Able to play several instruments including the guitar, piano and violin, Brown is proud of her creative spirit. She attended prestigious theatre schools in both New York and Los Angeles to hone her craft, and is now permanently based in the latter, where she continues to train as an actress. She was first noticed after her supporting role in the Sundance hit movie Laggies (2014) which featured English rose Keira Knightley.
