Jason Dohring

American actor and voice actor Jason Dohring is perhaps best known for playing Logan Echolls in the teen mystery drama series Veronica Mars, which ran for three seasons between 2004 and 2007 and was revived for a 2014 film and 2019 series. His acting in the film saw him nominated for a Teen Choice Award. He also had a recurring role as Will Kinney in the third and fourth seasons of The Originals and as Chase Graves in iZombie. His most recent recurring role was a Lieutenant Commander Whinshaw in the fifth season of SEAL Team on Paramount+. He has also voiced Terra in several Kingdom Hearts video games.

Dohring was born in Toledo, Ohio, in March 1982. He began acting as a child, appearing in classic mid-1990s shows such as Baywatch and also appeared in the 1998 blockbuster movie Deep Impact. Veronica Mars provided him with his first regular role, playing bad boy Logan and becoming part of a generation’s adolescent viewing. Around the same time, he also had a recurring role in CBS’ paranormal romance drama, Moonlight, playing 410-year-old vampire Josef Kostan.

After the initial run of Veronica Mars ended, Dohring had regular roles in series such as Ringer, The Messenger, The Originals, and more. Since 2010, he has been part of the massively successful Kingdom Hearts franchise of video games created by Square Enix and Walt Disney. He was part of the 2019 instalment, Kingdom Hearts III, which became the fastest-selling release in the series yet, clearing 5 million copies in North America alone during its first week.
