Jennifer Lahmers

Jennifer Lahmers was born on February 19, 1984, in Ohio, USA. She pursued her interest in television journalism from an early age, graduating from Dover High School in 2002 and the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University in 2006. Her career began as a reporter and weekend anchor at WBBJ-TV in Jackson, Tennessee. She then moved to Fox CT (now Fox 61) in Hartford, Connecticut, in 2007, where she continued as a reporter and eventually became the weekend news anchor before her departure in 2012. During her time in Hartford, she also contributed columns to local publications like the Hartford Courant.

From 2012 to 2014, Lahmers worked as an on-air personality for Back9Network, a golf cable television start-up. In 2014, she joined WNYW-TV, the Fox station in New York City, as a general assignments reporter. Her career progressed, and in 2017, she was promoted to daily co-anchor of “Good Day Wake Up,” a morning news program preceding “Good Day New York.” She also hosted “Studio 5,” a series of entertainment news specials for WNYW during this period.

In August 2019, Lahmers transitioned to national entertainment news, joining “Extra” as a correspondent. This role involved conducting studio interviews and covering high-profile events and red carpets, including the 2020 Golden Globe Awards. In January 2023, she joined “Good Day L.A.” as a co-anchor, while continuing her work for “Extra.” She is also an advocate for the prevention of domestic violence. Lahmers is a boy mom and an advisor for the Kinsey Institute.
