British wine expert and presenter Joe Fattorini is perhaps best known as the vastly knowledgeable presenter of The Wine Show, a reality series made up of intriguing short movies covering the most exciting happenings in the wine industry. Prior to this, Fattorini wrote a popular weekly wine column for Scottish newspaper The Herald (incidentally, the longest running national newspaper in the world!) for over fourteen years, and has also written for Harper’s Wine and Spirit and The Independent. He was even the official wine consultant to the US PGA Tour.
Fattorini revels in working as a consultant to restaurants, having written the world’s first textbook on selling and marketing wine in eateries. He’s also regularly called upon to speak at dinners and conferences. In 2017, he won the International Wine and Spirits Competition Wine Communicator of the Year Award as well as the International Wine Challenge Personality of the Year. He also ranked as the highest placed media figure on Drinks Retailing News’ list of the 100 Most Influential People in Wine.
He’s an accomplished speaker and presenter, having hosted multiple programs for the BBC, such as Joe’s Diner, a series of movies about the history of food and It’s Your Money, BBC Radio Scotland’s flagship personal finance show. A globe-trotting quintessential wine connoisseur, Fattorini will continue to be an inspirational and leading authority in the world of wine. He hopes to pass down as much of his hard-won wisdom as possible and indulge in his passion for as long as possible.
