John Goblikon

John Goblikon first gained public recognition in 2012 through the viral music video “No One Survives” by the band Nekrogoblikon. Initially conceived by director Brandon Dermer and portrayed by actor-comedian Dave Rispoli, John Goblikon became the band’s mascot and touring hypeman. His character grew to be central to the band’s identity, with initial appearances focusing on a hype-goblin role during performances.

Over time, John Goblikon’s role evolved significantly. From 2015 to 2019, and again from 2021 to 2022, he hosted a web series titled “Right Now with John Goblikon.” This expanded into a long-form podcast series under the same name in 2024. In a major career development in 2023, he transitioned from a mascot and hypeman to a dual lead vocalist for Nekrogoblikon, alongside Dickie Allen, following the departure of founding vocalist Nicky Calonne. This move solidified his position as a core musical artist within the band. Concurrently, John Goblikon has also developed a career in comedy, performing at events such as JFL Vancouver and the Moontower Comedy Festival, and headlining his own live comedy shows that include crowd participation and discussions on various topics.
