John Goblikon

John Goblikon is the lead character of Nekrogoblikon, a goblin-inspired rock music band which is based in Los Angeles, California. Nekrogoblikon was formed in 2006, by Tim Lyakhovetskiy and Nicky Calonn, and the band have released four full-length albums. Goblin Island, Stench, Heavy Meta and Welcome to Bonkers, as well as one EP, Power. Dave Rispoli often plays the character of John Goblikon, a goblin which tours with the band. Goblikon is known for producing out there music, as well as engaging with fans on social media – Goblikon has over 8000 followers which are dedicated to the goblin’s amusing antics.

Goblikon is known for excelling as a metal band, but also with their comedic presence. One of their albums, Heavy Meta, is a concept album that debuted to much acclaim, consisting of 10 songs that when listened to in succession tell the story of an immortal goblin race seeking a way to finally die. This album received a 3.5/5 on Angry Metal Guy, and is often considered the best album that the band has released. Currently, Nekrogoblikon are working on their latest album under Audiohammer Studios, and have released their cover of System of a Down’s “Chop Suey!” to advertise this.
