Joyce Giraud is a Puerto Rican actress, model and producer. Her career has led her in many directions, and she has proven to be a diverse and driven talent. She has appeared on many American and Spanish-speaking television shows. Most recently, her warm and gregarious personality on American reality shows Real Housewives of Beverley Hills won her many fans.
Born in Aguas Buenos, Puerto Rico, Giraud worked for many years as a model, whilst honing her academic skills and education. She subsequently completed degrees in Social work. She achieved star status as a model in Puerto Rico, and was crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico in 1998. After establishing herself as a formidable presence in Puerto Rico, she began acting in America, appearing in sitcoms The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and House of Payne. She also appeared in the critically acclaimed thriller The Girl With A Dragon Tattoo.
Her aptitude for the thriller and crime genres was cemented with the horror series Siberia, which depicted the production of a reality show disturbed by strange events. Giraud played the lead as well as executive producing. Her career as producer has been extensive, producing the film Shadow People as well as the Spanish language reality show Rica, Famosa, Latina.
More recently, she has established a beauty range, Joyce Giraud Beauty. A keen philanthropist, she, together with the YOU foundation, funded four schools and an orphanage in Puerto Rico. She remains passionate about the importance of using her platform and success to help others, and is particularly keen on charity being a vital part of the beauty pageant world.
