Versatile actor Katrina Bowden has recently established herself in the second major role of her career. Having spent seven years playing Cerie in NBC’s multi-award-winning satire 30 Rock, she is now playing Florence Fulton in landmark CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. Her film credits include the likes of American Reunion, Scary Movie 5, and Tucker & Dale vs Evil.
Bowden’s long and eclectic CV includes sitcom, drama, film, presenting, and music videos—she has appeared in videos for the likes of Fall Out Boy, Jewel, We Are Scientists, and Panic! at the Disco. In 2020, she was a guest co-host on CBS’s widely-syndicated magazine show Entertainment Tonight. However, it’s acting that Bowden’s first love. She made her first TV appearance in 2006, aged 18, in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, something of a rites-of-passage for aspiring American actors. After various other one-off parts in the likes of Ugly Betty and New Girl, she was cast as Cerie Xerox, the attractive but not-very-good assistant to Liz Lemon (the show’s main character, played by its creator Tina Fey). After playing a recurring role in the show’s first season, she joined the main cast for the next six seasons, appearing in just under 100 episodes as the show won plaudit after plaudit.
In 2008, Bowden made her big-screen in debut in teen comedy Sex Drive, with many more comedy roles following over the years. 2011 was something of a breakthrough year for her as she was cast in American Reunion, part of the massively successful American Pie franchise.
