Kayvon Webster is an Football cornerback who has played for various NFL teams since turning professional in 2013 but is currently best known for his time spent with the Denver Broncos. He played for the Broncos for three years and won Super Bowl 50 with them. He is currently a free agent but has also played with the Los Angeles Rams, Houston Texans, and Washington Redskins.
Webster was born and raised in Miami, Florida, where he attended Monsignor Edward Pace High School and excelled in both football and track events. In the former, he was twice named in the All-Dade First Team and ranked as one of the top-35 safety players in the country by various outlets. In the latter, he was arguably even more successful, earning All-American honours, winning state championships, and setting meet records. But it was football that won out, and out of the many scholarships he was offered, Webster chose to play for the University of South Florida’s team, the Bulls. During his three years there, he was awarded All-Big East Second Team honours. During his junior and sophomore years, he also returned to track events with predictable success, winning various honours and running the 100 metres in 10.5 seconds.
In 2013, Webster was drafted by the Broncos and so football finally became his full-time sporting job. The decision paid off when he was part of the team that won 2016’s Super Bowl 50, thus achieving the dream of every pro football player.
