Award-winning Canadian actor and children’s author Keegan Connor Tracy is best-known to viewers worldwide for her roles as Queen Belle in Disney’s Descendants trilogy of films, Blair Watson in the award-winning drama series Bates Motel, the Blue Fairy and Mother Superior in hit fantasy series Once Upon a Time, and many more film and TV roles. Nominated for many awards during her career, she won the Leo Award for Best Supporting Female in a Dramatic Series for her role as Jackie in Canadian programme Da Vinci’s Inquest. Her first children’s book, Mommy’s 26 Careers, was published in 2016 and soon followed by This is a Job for Mommy!
Tracy was born in the city of Windsor, Ontario in 1971. She left university with a degree in Social Psychology but soon embarked on an acting career, making her television debut in a 1997 American sci-fi series called Viper. She got her breakthrough in 1999, appearing in her first movie and winning her first regular role, Audrey in Beggars and Choosers, an American comedy series that aired on Showtime. In 2003, she was cast as Diane Hughes, one of the leading roles in sci-fi series Jake 2.0, winning another award nomination in the process.
Since being cast in Once Upon a Time in 2011, Tracy’s career has truly taken off with plenty of recurring roles in major series. In 2020, she played one of her most challenging roles to date, the female lead in horror film Z, which saw her nominated for Best Lead Performance by a Female in a Motion Picture at that year’s Leo Awards.
