Kenneth Collard has enjoyed an incredibly successful acting career on both film and television and round the world on stage. His many television credits include BBC Two’s Dirk Gently, Channel 4’s Campus and Freshmeat, Skins (E4), Cuckoo with Greg Davies and Episodes with Matt LeBlanc and Tamsin Greig. On the big screen he has appeared in Muppets Most Wanted and starred alongside Jude Law and Keira Knightly in Anna Karenina. He is also a radio drama star with roles in the long running BBC Radio 4 show The Archers and BBC Radio 3’s Stalingrad Kiss.
Born in Rinteln in the former West Germany, Collard trained at The Birmingham School of Speech Training and Dramatic Art before making his debut as Frenchman Pierre in The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones: Attack of The Hawkmen. Collard has described himself as the “produce of more than one country” and has carved out a successful acting career often playing characters of different nationalities. His numerous TV credits include The Tudors, Skins, Dirk Gently, I Want My Wife Back, Cuckoo, Black Mirror, Galavant and Episodes.
A truly talented character actor, he has also appeared in a string of successful movies including Tale of Tales opposite Salma Hayek, Albert Nobbs with Glenn Close, Ironclad also starring Paul Giamatti and as a Russian prince in 2012’s Anna Karenina. Collard is also a well-loved stage actor who has appeared in top productions including Hamlet and Abigail’s party.
