Kevin Rolland is a French skier who competes in freestyle events. At the 2009 FIS Freestyle World Championships, he competed in the halfpipe event and came away with the gold medal. In 2011, the Canadian Mike Riddle defeated him for the same title, but he still managed to come second overall and earn a spot on the podium.
Rolland has also been successful at the Winter X Games, where he has won a total of seven medals, as well as the Winter X Games Europe, where he has managed to take home two medals. These medals include two consecutive golds in the SuperPipe competition. In 2011, Rolland was also crowned the overall winner of the Winter Dew Tour Superpipe competition.
The team that was responsible for creating the open world extreme sports video game Steep consulted a number of professional skiers, including Rolland, as well as sportspeople and experts in extreme sports. Rolland made a comeback at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing despite the fact that he was hospitalised in 2019, after a fall that left him with brain trauma, several contusions to his liver, kidneys, and lungs, and shattered ribs and pelvis. The injury befell Rolland while he was in China. He keeps up with his fans on Instagram @kevin_rolland, where he boasts more than 60,000 followers. He is also a model for the sunglasses brand IZIPIZI.
