The fabulous sportsman Kim Won-jin is a judoka, who competes in the -60kg weight category. He is an Asian Champion, a World Masters Champion, a 6x IJF Grand Prix Champion, and an IJF Grand Slam Champion. In 2016 he was ranked No.1 in the world and also represented his native South Korea at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Born and raised in South Korea, Kim started judo at a young age and soon began competing at cadet and junior level. He was 17-years-old when he took Gold at the 2009 Asian Junior Championships in the -55kg weight category. He moved up to the -60kg weight category, and started competing at senior level.
Since 2012 Kim has racked up an incredible tally of medals, and at one time was ranked No.1 in the world. In IJF Grand Prix events he has taken six Golds and two Silvers, while in IJF Grand Slam events he has claimed eight medals (including one Gold). At the Summer Universiade he has claimed two Golds, a Silver and a Bronze, and he has also taken a World Masters Gold and Bronze. In the Asian Championships he has won a Gold and two Silvers, and in the Asian Games he has taken Bronze. He also has two Bronze medals from the World Championships, and represented his native South Korea at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
