The stunningly beautiful Lana Parrilla is an award-winning actress best known for playing The Evil Queen/Regina Mills in the ABC fantasy drama, Once Upon a Time. For that show, in 2012, she was honoured with a TV Guide Award for Favourite Villain, and in 2016 with a Teen Choice Award for Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV actress. She was also a regular cast member of the ABC sitcom, Spin City, and starred in the fourth season of the award-winning thriller series, 24. She is set to star in Season 2 of CBS’s hit anthology series, Why Women Kill.
Parrilla was born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in a very creative environment, showing interests in acting from an early age, partly influenced by her actress aunty, Candice Azzara. After graduating from High School, she moved to California to study acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse in Los Angeles. She made her TV debut in 1999 on the UPN sitcom, Grown Ups, before joining the cast of Spin City. She has since gone on to appear in countless TV programmes, including The Shield, Boomtown, NYPD Blue, Windfall, Lost, and Six Feet Under. She has made a number of films, too, including Very Mean Men, acting alongside Matthew Modine and Martin Landau.
