Lauren Cohan is an accomplished actress with a hugely impressive resume. Fans of fantasy and horror television will instantly recognise her as Maggie Rhee from The Walking Dead, Bela Talbot from Supernatural, and Rose from The Vampire Diaries. Her other recurring roles include those of Vivian McArthur Volkoff in Chuck and Frankie Trowbridge in Whiskey Cavalier. However, Maggie Rhee is the role she is perhaps most closely associated with, having appeared in more than 100 episodes of The Walking Dead between 2011 and 2022. In 2023, she stars in The Walking Dead: Dead City, a spin-off series revolving around Maggie and Negan Smith. The role won her the 2022 Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Network or Cable Television Series.
Cohan was born in America but also spent time growing up in the UK and currently divides her time between Los Angeles and London. She began acting in 2005 and got her first significant break two years later when she was cast as Bela in the third season of the fantasy drama, Supernatural. In 2010, she landed a part in another successful series, The Vampire Diaries, appearing in the second and third seasons. But when she was cast as Maggie in The Walking Dead in 2011, everything fell into place for her.
Cohan has also enjoyed success on the big screen with roles in films such as the hit horror film, The Boy (starring as Greta Evans), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (playing Bruce Wayne’s mother, Martha), and Tupac biopic All Eyez on Me (playing his mentor Leila Steinberg).
