Content creator Lauren Ramos rose to fame doing a chore many people hate – cleaning her room. Her video titled “cleaning my room for the first time in 8 months” went viral and was watched more than 3 million times. Since then she has continued to post story time and cleaning room video stories to her self-titled YouTube channel and has garnered more than 228,000 subscribers. Ramos has also racked up many more followers on Instagram and Twitter and also recorded her own music.
Born and raised in the small town of Bel Air in Maryland, USA, Ramos was a dancer and gymnast before becoming a varsity cheerleader at her high school, and she was also excited about pursuing a career in acting before she took YouTube by storm. Her journey to fame began on live video content streaming platform YouNow, but inspired by the likes of Emma Chamberlain, RiceGum, Logan Paul and Alissa Violet she joined YouTube on the 2nd of October 2016. After posting a video of herself cleaning her room, she gained a whole new army of followers and her videos were viewed around the world by millions of people. Ramos has said that “they told me to study and go to college so i made a youtube channel”, and as her popularity continues to rise it looks as though the young social media sensation made the right decision.
