Emmy Award-winning actress Lexi Ainsworth is best known for her roles in the movie A Girl Like Her and American daytime TV series General Hospital. Ainsworth received a Daytime Emmy Award for for her portrayal of General Hospital’s Kristina Davis in 2017. She also received high acclaim for her role in the 2015 movie A Girl Like Her in which she played bullied high school student Jessica Burns.
Hailing from Oklahoma City, Ainsworth began her career as a ballet dancer and began dancing at the age of 3. She later won the lead role of Scout in To Kill a Mocking bird in an Actors Equity production of the play, and after attending a New York film camp chose an acting career over dancing. Ainsworth first appeared on screens in a national commercial for Barbie before landing major roles in several films.
Her notable roles include Emma Roberts younger sister in Universal’s Wild Child, appearing regularly in TV shows Major Crimes and Gilmore Giles and her award-winning role in General Hospital since 2009. She has also found time to study acting further at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, performing Shakespeare.
Of all her work so far, Ainsworth is most proud of A Girl Like Her. The up and coming star has already proven she can take on the most challenging of roles, and undoubtedly has a bright future ahead of her.
