Prolific actor and voice artist Luis Moncada has been lighting up our screens for nearly thirty years. Perhaps best known for playing Marco Salamanca on the cult AMC television series, Breaking Bad and its spin-off Better Call Saul, Moncada has had an electric career to date. Born and raised in Honduras, Moncada’s life story has taken him from some of the darkest places to become the well-loved personality we see today. From his debut guest spot on American Family to starring as one of television’s most recognisable villains, Moncada has a long and exciting career ahead of him.
Before his breakthrough into the entertainment industry, Moncada was part of a gang, where he later served time in prison for vehicle theft. After his experiences on the streets and behind bars, Moncada turned his life around and began to tell his story as a motivational speaker in schools and youth prison camps across the country. From there, Moncada trained as a Muay Thai fighter out of the world-famous Muay Thai Academy of America (MTA) in North Hollywood, CA. Never far from the ring, Moncada can often be found training at 818 Boxing Club in Sun Valley to this day.
Now a cultural icon, Moncada has earned a dedicated fanbase. Whether he is producing new, fresh content for his popular Instagram channel or meeting fans face to face at various Comic Cons, Moncada is an inspirational artist that will continue to leave a lasting impact on the industry.
