Magnus Krog is a professional Norwegian Nordic combined skier who has been actively competing since 2005. Throughout the course of his career, Krog has taken three individual and three team World Cup successes under his belt. On top of this, at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, he secured two medals. One gold medal at the 4×5 km relay event, and a bronze at the 10 km normal hill event.
Born in Høydalsmo, and currently living in Trondheim, Krog has earned a reputation of being a fierce competitor. He competed at his first World Cup in Trondheim in 2008, and at that point began the stride of his career. After years of consistent improvement and training, in 2011, Krog finally experienced a breakthrough when he won his first World Cup race in Kuusamo, Finland.
Krog has often been described as unstoppable. After breaking his shoulder in a crash in 2011, he still managed to earn a Top 30 position in the overall rankings for that World Cup season. Immediately after recovering from this injury, he took home his first international medal at the World Championships in Val di Fiemme in 2013. Here, he won a silver medal alongside the National Norwegian team. Shortly after, Krog experienced his historic Olympic victory and secured two medals. Recently, he had to take a break from competition due to a severe neck injury, but as always, nothing can stop this seasoned athlete. Krog made his triumphant return as a combined skier for the season of 2020 and is expected to perform better than ever.
