Maisie Richardson-Sellers is a British-born actor who has made her name in America with roles in popular shows such as The Originals, Of Kings and Prophets, and Legends of Tomorrow. She recently returned home to co-star in the British thriller series The Undeclared War, which was based around a Russian cyber attack on the UK. On a lighter note, she has also played Chloe Winthrop in two of the Kissing Booth teen rom-com films.
Richardson-Sellers began taking part in the theatre whilst studying at the University of Oxford. After graduating, she began auditioning for roles and was rewarded with a role in Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens — a pretty major film to get your debut in. No sooner had she finished filming that than she was awarded her second role: a recurring part in the second and third seasons of The Originals, playing vampire Rebekah Mikaelson when she inhabits a different body. She then joined the main cast of ABC’s ambitious Biblical drama, Of Kings and Prophets, which also starred the likes of Ray Winstone and Jeanine Mason.
Between 2016 and 2020 she played no fewer than four roles in the DC Comics time-travel series Legends of Tomorrow, shapeshifting from Amaya Jiwe/Vixen in the second and third seasons to Charlie/Clotho in the fourth and fifth. In 2020, she appeared in the fun Kissing Booth 2 movie, appearing in the third instalment the following year. With big projects currently in production, Richardson-Sellers star remains in the ascendency.
