Martial artist, actor, director and television personality Mark Dacascos has been making audiences stand up and make notice for decades. A star of the big and small screen, he is well known for portraying Zero in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum opposite Halle Belly, Laurence Fishburne and Keanu Reeves , as Toby Wong in Steve Wang-direction action movie Drive, as Mani in French horror movie Brotherhood of the Wolf, as Yao Ling in Cradle 2 the Grave opposite Jet Li and as the titular role in the iconic movie Crying Freeman. Dacascos has featured in over 40 movies in total, and his numerous television credits include Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Crow and Hawaii 5-0. Dacascos has also featured as The Chairman on over 200 episodes of the popular Food Network show Iron Chef America.
Born in Oahu Hawaii, Dacascos is a mix of Filipino, Japanese, Irish, Spanish and Chinese heritages, and growing up learnt Wun Hop Kuen Do, his father’s style of martial arts. He was first spotted walking through San Francisco’s Chinatown by assistant director Chris Lee who at the time was working for director Wayne Wang, and Dascascos was soon cast in several films and television shows mostly playing martial artists. In 1993 he landed the breakout role of Louis in movie Only the Strong, and since then the multi-talented star has rarely been out of work as an actor.
