Rising star Matia Jackett is a talented young actress best known for her role of Young Eunice in the 2015 movie Crimson Peak. As well as starring alongside Tom Hiddleston and Jessica Chastain in the hit gothic romance movie, she played the lead role in the short Mishka, which tells the tale of a conflicted 13 year old and her dark secrets. Jackett’s performance in apocalypse survival thriller Salvation earned the gifted youngster a Best Supporting Performer award at the Hollywood North Film Awards in 2020. Her other credits include Canadian detective show Private Eyes, TV series The Expanse, short film Spelled and comedy/horror flick Cherrypicker.
Born March 6th 2003 in Ontario, Canada, one of Jackett’s earliest acting roles was the lead part of Millie in the short film of the same name in 2014. A year later the actress got her big break playing the younger version of Emily Coutts’s character Eunice in the gothic Hollywood blockbuster Crimson Peak, starring Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska and Jessica Chastain. Since then the Canadian teenager has continued to add to her acting portfolio, working across television, film and shorts. The up-and-coming star also has a strong social media following, and regularly updates her followers with videos following her acting life. Jackett will soon star in Death and Faxes alongside award-winning Canadian actor Steven McCarthy.
