Writer, actor and stand-up comedian Matt Braunger is known to many for his unique comedy specials, for his time as a cast member on the popular MADtv, and for his countless guest appearances on film and television. His awards include a Best of The Fest at the Rooftop Comedy Festival, and he has been namechecked by both Variety and Comedy Central in their lists of top comedic talent.
Braunger came to the attention of many when he was cast in the 14th season of MADtv as a featured performer. Here, he had a recurring character and performed celebrity impressions including Nick Jonas, William Shatner and Charlie Sheen. He is a regular on the late-night circuit, with appearances on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, the Late Show with David Letterman, and The Late Late Show, and has frequently starred on @midnight. He has also been seen on ABC’s Agent Carter, Up All Night on NBC, TruTV’s How To Be a Grown Up, and dozens of others.
Braunger performs regularly at the Upright Citizens Brigade in LA, and has toured widely across North America. His many festival appearances include Just For Laughs, The TBS Comedy Festival in Las Vegas, and South By Southwest in Austin, and he is the co-founder of the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in his hometown of Portland. Braunger has performed three one-hour comedy specials, which have been released variously on Netflix, Comedy Central and Amazon Prime, and he has recorded five comedy albums. With comedian Matt Dwyer, Braunger co-hosted the weekly comedy podcast MATTs Radio. His current podcast is Advice From A Dipsh*t with Matt Braunger, and he has made guest appearances on podcasts such as The Joe Rogan Experience and The Nerdist Podcast.
