Rapper, musician, internet comedian and social media sensation McAshHole rose to fame after his viral hit ‘Who It Is’ blew up online. The video for ‘Who It is’, where the star impersonates various famous rappers in flow, lyrics, voice, appearance and mannerisms, has now racked up more than 7 million views on YouTube, and McAshHole has amassed over 239k followers on his account and over 17 million views in total for all of his videos. His highly anticipated sequel in 2018 named ‘Who It is 2’ was another smash hit with over 5.2 million views, but in recent years the rapper has decided to be taken more seriously as a musician despite his comedic success.
Born Ashton Butler in New Orleans, Louisiana, McAshHole first began to post his comedy sketches about relationships and friendships on Vine, where he accumulated over 260k followers before the platform was closed. The viral success of ‘Who it Is’ thrust McAShHole into the limelight, but for a while the star wanted to put his comedy persona behind him and concentrate on more serious music under the name La Yung Brown$kin.
Now posting music as CryBaby Cash, he dropped album Trapped on Sickworld in 2020 as well as a stream of well-received singles in 2021 including ‘Misunderstand’, ‘Prada Me’ and ‘Moving Like This’. As his music career continues to rise, it’s time for everyone to take McAshHole seriously.
