The wonderful actor and stuntman Michael Papajohn has killed and been killed by more people on screen than anybody else in Hollywood! Some of his most notable credits are Charlie’s Angels, Spider-Man, Terminator 3, Jurassic World, and Thor. He is also a successful producer on the independent film scene, as well as a sought after keynote speaker.
Born and raised in Alabama, Papajohn was initially interested in pursuing a career in sports. After he graduated from High School he was drafted by the Texas Rangers of MLB, but opted to attend the Louisiana State University on a baseball scholarship instead. He went on to be the starting centre-fielder on the first LSU team to go to the College World Series in 1986, and again in 1987. He fell into the world of movies when a crew came to the LSU campus to film the new Dennis Quaid sports drama Everybody’s All-American. He was recruited as a stunt double, and caught the attention of director Taylor Hackford who encouraged him to pursue a career in stunt work.
From there Papajohn moved on to working in such movies as Money Talks, and Starship Troopers, and then started acting in 1990 making his debut in the action horror Predator 2. His subsequent film credits have included The Last Boy Scout with Bruce Willis, The Waterboy with Adam Sandler, Charlie’s Angels with Drew Barrymore, Spider-Man and Spider-Man 3 with Toby Maguire, Terminator 3 and Terminator Salvation with Arnold Schwarzenegger, The Dark Knight Rises with Christian Bale, Escape Plan with Sly Stallone, Homefront with Jason Statham, and Unhinged with Russell Crowe. He has also worked on countless TV shows, including True Detective, Paradise Lost, and Fear the Walking Dead.
Papajohn regularly connects with his followers and fans through Instagram, and Twitter, posting pictures and videos about his life both on and off the screen. He is also available for that personalised shout-out via the Cameo platform, and has an official website, michaelpapajohn.com.
