Mohammed Bashar is a Jordanian composer and singer of Palestinian origins with millions of fans across the globe. The world music star is famous for his beautiful vocals, but has also composed numerous tracks for other leading Arab artists. Bashar is of Muslim faith and sings his popular songs exclusively in Arabic, his mother-tongue. Bashar has also successfully taken on the world of social media, and has amassed over one million followers across all platforms including Facebook and Instagram. Bashar is world-renowned for his live shows and has performed thousands of concerts to his adoring fans, singing his most-loved tracks including ‘Ya Rayt Btenad’ – his 2015 single which has now racked up close to 1.5 million views on YouTube. Bashar has also hosted television programmes including for Noon Kids Net.
Growing up between Palestine and Jordan, Bashar learnt to sing and play guitar when he was a young child. Born in Amman in 1988, he studied management information systems in Jordan at Princess Sumaya University before pursuing a career as a singer and composer.
Bashar has recently written and produced music for Elissa, one of the most well-known female singers in the Arab world. He has also helped to launch his sister Dima’s career as a singer after she appeared in one of his music videos.
Whether he is recording his own music or composing tracks for other singers, Bashar remains one of the world’s most successful artists.
