Mother Pukka is a blog, website and resource for parents set up in 2015 by journalist, author and activist Anna Whitehouse.
For the past six years, Mother Pukka has been a trusted resource for parents looking for news and information on everything from childcare, mental health and racism to life as a working parent and the latest parent and baby products. Before setting up the site, Whitehouse was a journalist who had written for reputable publications including Marie Claire, Stylist, The Independent and The Telegraph. She currently has her own column in Grazia magazine and has written two bestselling books with her husband. The first, Parenting the Shit Out of Life, focuses on parenting and raising a family and the second, Where’s My Happy Ending, is about modern relationships. As well as running Mother Pukka and working as a writer, Whitehouse is a passionate advocate for flexible working conditions and has launched the Flex Appeal campaign to raise awareness and create change. She has given a TedxTalk on the topic and has been quoted in parliament, as well as featuring in national press coverage.
Mother Pukka remains an invaluable resource for parents and a platform for sharing events, news and opinions. Whitehouse is the host of her own weekly show on Heart Radio and with 270k followers on Instagram is now well known across the media, parenting and activism industries.
