Paranormal investigator, television presenter and musician Nick Groff is famous as the lead investigator for reality show Paranormal Lockdown. He is also well known as the co-investigator, cameraman, editor and executive producer on seasons 1-10 of paranormal reality television series Ghost Adventures.
Born in San José, California, Groff was raised in New England where he became fascinated with the paranormal as a child after several inexplicable experiences, including a near-death experience that he believes increased his sensitivity to the supernatural world. After moving to Las Vegas where he graduated with a BA in Film from the University of Nevada, he met DJ Zak Bagans after hiring him for his wedding and the pair bonded over their individual experiences with ghosts. After working together as a camera operator and DJ for weddings, the pair formed a paranormal investigation team joined by Aaron Goodwin. Named the Ghost Adventures Crew, they filmed Ghost Adventures: The Original Documentary which drew attention from producers and critics and led to their own show on the Travel Channel. Ghost Adventures ran for ten seasons and was co-hosted and executive produced by Groff for ten seasons from 2008 until 2014.
His other projects include his autobiography Chasing Spirits: The Building of the Ghost Adventures Crew, the creation of his Phantom Collection clothing brand and the release of two albums as a singer, Spiritual War: Good vs Evil and The Other Side.
