Pop singer, dancer, transgender icon and LGBTQ+ advocate Nikki Exotika is well known around the world for her performances and her unique look.
Exotika grew up in New Jersey, and from a young age loved performing and dressing up at home. At school she was part of the marching band, choir and theatre club, developing her love of performing but also being bullied and teased for being different and an outsider. After graduating she moved to New York City where she finally found people like her, joining the club scene and dressing up every weekend to work as a dancer in venues and bars in the city. She realised she was trans and started to transition, having gender reassignment surgery in 1997. Her career went from strength to strength, appearing on MTV’s Global Groove and being featured on Entertainment Tonight!. In 2011, Exotika released her first record, Manwhore, becoming well known for her bestselling singles Secret Girl and Electric Touch. She has appeared on television across the UK, US and Europe on shows such as Geraldo Maury, Explosiv RTL TV and ITV’s This Morning. Most recently she has become well known for her unique ‘trans Barbie’ look, having had $1million worth of surgery to achieve her dream aesthetic.
Exotika continues to travel the world performing and making public appearances, and now has over 500k followers on her Instagram page.
