Nora Taylor is an accomplished American vegan food blogger and recipe developer who began building her business from scratch in 2016. Today, she has an amazing 275,000 followers on Instagram as vegans from all over the world have engaged with her brilliant recipe ideas. She also has tens of thousands of Facebook followers and her website, Nora Cooks, is visted millions of times every month.
Taylor, who lives in Portland, Oregon with her family, was inspired to start Nora Cooks after the birth of her son. When the time came to return to her previous job (as a nurse), she felt the pull to stay at home with her child, so she bought a camera and began working on building up a vegan blog — no mean feat given that, prior to going vegan, she had been totally averse to cooking! She worked hard on it, and within a few years, she had become so successful that her husband left his day job to help her out running things. She had made it.
Since then, Taylor has been a full-time food blogger and photographer — and she still enjoys every single second of it. Among the amazing recipes on her website are vegan pancakes and lasagne, tofu scramble, and “the best vegan mac and cheese”. Her vegan chocolate cake has more than 1,000 five-star reviews, a testament to both her popularity and the sheer quality of her work.
