Nozomu Yoshioka

Nozomu Yoshioka secured a bronze medal at the 2023 World Junior Championships and another bronze at the 2022–23 Junior Grand Prix Final, establishing himself as a formidable presence in international figure skating. Earlier in the 2022–23 season, he became the Japanese junior national champion. His career saw a significant turning point in the 2019–20 season, when he moved to Hy?go Prefecture to train under Utako Nagamitsu at the Hyogo Nishinomiya FSC, a change he pursued for enhanced discipline. This period coincided with marked progress, culminating in his first international victory at the 2020 Challenge Cup as a junior.

He also placed eighth at the Japan Championships in the same season. His performance earned him a gold medal at the 2023 Triglav Trophy, highlighting his continued international competitiveness. Yoshioka concluded the 2023-24 season by securing a silver medal at the 2024 Tallink Hotels Cup, reinforcing his consistent podium finishes. Continuing his strong senior presence, Yoshioka further demonstrated his competitive prowess with a third-place finish at the 2024 Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy.

He also participated in Skate America 2024, finishing eighth, underscoring his ongoing engagement with the top tiers of international figure skating. As a university student representing Hosei University, he meticulously balances his rigorous athletic career with his academic pursuits, continuing to compete at a high level globally.
