The determined and driven Parks Bonifay is a professional wakeboarder who took the wakeboarding world by storm as a 14-year-old, winning the X-Games on his first visit. A man with a carefree personality, full of competitiveness, fearlessness and drive, he has practised his art on the wakeboard everywhere, from rail parks, to towing behind a helicopter, or charging surf in Tahiti.
Bonifay was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida, to a family of water sports fanatics, and was just six months old when his father put him in a pair of skis for the first time. He burst onto the competitive scene in 1996, winning both Pro Tour and X Games titles at the young age of 14. Since then he has been at the forefront of the sport’s progression, and has been the pioneer of multiple wakeboarding tricks, including the first 1080 (three complete 360 turns), and has taken the sport all over the world. He has gone on to hold many major titles, including the Pro Wakeboard Tour titles in 1999 and 2001. His wakeboard antics have also featured in a number of TV shows and documentaries, including Nitro Circus, Jackass, Ultimate Rush, Wakecation, and Life After X.
Bonifay regularly connects with his legions of followers and fans through Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, posting pictures and videos of his incredible feats in and out of the water. He is available for that personalised shout-out via the Cameo platform. His amazing rise to fame also features in a self-titled documentary, which can be found on YouTube, along with many videos of his breathtaking skills on a wakeboard.
